Sanitaire
Launched in 1969, the Sanitaire brand provides complete biological wastewater treatment solutions for municipal and industrial applications. The comprehensive offering includes diffused aeration, sequencing batch reactors, membrane bioreactors, drum filters and state-of the art controls.
Sanitaire is regarded as the leading brand in diffused aeration–a process that introduces air into a liquid, providing an aerobic environment for degradation of organic matter. Sanitaire fine-bubble disc aeration systems are specified more than any other. Fine pore diffusion of air is highly competitive due to its high oxygen transfer efficiency and lower energy costs.
Sanitaire wide-band aeration systems have become the industry standard. They are used in applications like grit chambers and sludge that require non-clogging, maintenance-free systems.
Bundling opportunities for Sanitaire include Flygt pumps and mixers in ABJ biological treatment systems. Principal Sanitaire customers are municipal wastewater treatment facilities. Sanitaire was acquired by ITT in 1999.
